Red Wine and Fresh Herb Marina
  • Ingredients
  • 1-1/4 cups dry red wine
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 /2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 /4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions
  1. Place red wine in a medium bowl
  2. Whisk in the olive oil and then the onion, garlic, parsley, thyme, bay leaf, salt and pepper. Yield: 1-1/2 cups SUGGESTED USE: The use of fresh herbs in a marinade creates a fuller fresher flavor
  3. This marinade works especially well on red meat
  4. Try it on a London broil or Seven Bone Roast (6 to 8 hours or overnight) or a leg of lamb (6 to 8 hours).
