SPICED RED CABBAGE
  • Ingredients
  • 6 cups shredded red cabbage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tart chopped apple
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients, except the vinegar
  2. Pour into a buttered casserole dish
  3. Bake in 325F
  4. oven 30-40 minutes, or until cabbage is tender
  5. Sprinkle vinegar over cabbage immediately upon removing dish from oven
  6. Makes 6 servings.
