Place 1 quart water, salt and sugar in a saucepan and cook
over medium heat until the sugar and salt dissolve
Add
this mixture to the ice water.
Yield: 1 gallon
SUGGESTED USE: Brining or soaking a turkey (8 to 12 hours)
in a salty liquid before cooking yields a moister, more
flavorful cooked bird
Multiply the brining liquid as need to
cover the turkey completely
Be sure to rinse the turkey well
both inside and out before cooking.
