SOURDOUGH CAMP BREAD
  • Ingredients
  • 4 cups of sourdough starter
  • 1 tablespoon of melted shortening or vegetable oil
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
Directions
  1. Add shortening, flour and baking powder to the starter. Keep adding flour until no more can be absorbed
  2. Form into loaves
  3. Put in a greased bowl, cover with a towel and allow to stand in a warm place until loaves have doubled in size
  4. Shape into two loaves and place in oiled bread pans
  5. Bake at 350F
  6. about 40 minutes or until bread sounds hollow when rapped with a spoon.
