CORNMEAL STARTER
  • Ingredients
  • 1 cup unbleached flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • water
Directions
  1. Mix unbleached flour, cornmeal, sugar, and enough water to make a medium batter
  2. Cover with a small towel and set in a warm place
  3. This should start to fer- ment in about 5 hours
  4. When you can smell the delight- ful aroma, put the starter in a cool place
  5. It will be ready to use the next day.
