RHUBARB BREAD
  • Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup sour milk (or buttermilk)
  • 2-1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon, soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1-1/2 cups raw rhubarb, diced
  • 1/2 cups walnuts, chopped
Directions
  1. Cream brown sugar and butter together until fluffy
  2. Stir in egg, sour milk, and vanilla. In a separate bowl sift together dry ingredients and stir into first mixture
  3. Mix well
  4. Stir in rhubarb and nuts. Pour batter into small greased loaf pans
  5. Bake in 325F
  6. oven 35-40 minutes
