Add
melted shortening and yeast.
Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl, adding
flour mixture in small amounts and blending thoroughly
after each addition
Form a stiff dough
Cover dough
with a tea towel and allow to rise in a warm place for an
hour or until dough has doubled in size.
After dough has doubled, punch dough down and
knead for one minute
Place dough in a well-greased loaf
or casserole pan
Cover and allow to rise again for 40
minutes
Bake in a preheated 350F
oven for 50 min-
utes or until bread sounds hollow when tapped with a
spoon
