COWBOY DRIED APPLE PIE
  • Ingredients
  • pie crust dough (see Apple Denver Pie)
  • 2 cups cooked dried apples
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup cooked raisins
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl
  2. In place of vinegar, you may use 2 tablespoons of lemon juice with the grated rind of one small orange
  3. Pour mixture into pie crust, then place top crust and vent
  4. Moisten top with a little milk and sprinkle with sugar
  5. Bake at 240F
  6. until fill- ing is bubbling and the crust is nice and brown.
