SHEEP SHEARER'S DELIGHT OR DIRTY GEORGE
  • Ingredients
  • 1 loaf bread, sliced
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • butter or margarine to spread
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 quart sheep's milk, whole milk or condensed milk
Directions
  1. Spread the sliced bread with butter on both sides, arrange in a pan, and cover with a mixture of milk, molasses, and syrup
  2. Bake in a slow oven about 2 hours, stirring gently from time to time and adding milk if needed
  3. Serve with cold milk to which a few drops of vanilla have been added.
