SON-OF-A-GUN IN A SACK
  • Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup canned milk
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 tablespoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup ground suet
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
Directions
  1. Dissolve soda in molasses
  2. Combine flour, bread crumbs, salt and spices
  3. Then mix these dry ingredients with the suet, raisins, molasses, nuts, and canned milk
  4. Mix well, pour into a cloth sack and tie with a string
  5. Then boil in water for 2 hours
  6. Remove from sack and serve in bowls topped with Foamy Sauce (recipe follows).
