Cajun Creole Rub
Cajun Creole Rub
Ingredients
2 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Directions
Combine all ingredients and store in a jar for up to 6 months. Yield: 1/2 cup SUGGESTED USE: This rub can also be used as a seasoning mix
Instead of measuring out each ingredient have a supply of this mixture on hand when you want to create a special flavor in soups or sautes
It is, of course, great rubbed on chicken, whole or pieces (2 hours), pork loin, tenderloin or chops (2 hours) or even fish (30 minutes).
