Italian Herb Rub
  • Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons dried basil, finely crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons dried oregano, finely crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme, finely crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary, finely crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon dried sage, finely crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients and store in a jar for up to 6 months. Yield: 1/2 cup SUGGESTED USE: A glorified Italian seasoning, this mixture is especially nice on chicken (2 hours) or fish fillets (1 hour)
  2. It can also be used as a seasoning mix for spaghetti sauce and try adding it to bread crumbs before coating boneless chicken breasts.
