INJUN WHISKEY
  • Ingredients
  • 1 quart com whiskey or Bourbon
  • 3 or 4 hot red peppers
  • cut plug tobacco or tobacco from 2 cigarettes
  • a thumb pinch of old-fashioned black gun powder,
  • not modem nitrated gunpowder
  • 1 cup water divided between two small cooking pots
Directions
  1. Boil peppers for 10 minutes to make a tea in one pot of water
  2. Do the same with the tobacco in a second pot. Strain and cook down by half
  3. Add both to the whiskey and put a pinch of gunpowder into the bottle
  4. The pinch of black gunpowder gives a special smooth taste
  5. Be sure to use the old-fashioned black powder made of saltpeter, sulphur, and charcoal, because modern nitrated high speed powders are poisonous.
