Beer Marinade with Onions and Sage
  • Ingredients
  • 1 (12-ounce) can beer
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage leaves
  • or 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 /4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Directions
  1. Place the beer in a medium mixing bowl
  2. Add the sliced onion, garlic, sugar, sage, salt and pepper
  3. Stir to combine well. Yield: 2 cups SUGGESTED USE: The beer in this marinade imparts a special taste to a variety of meats
  4. Try marinating a whole chicken (8 hours) or any type of beef steak (4 hours) or even a pork loin (6 to 8 hours)
  5. Be sure to turn the meat or poultry several times during the marinating.
