Beer Marinade with Onions and Sage
Beer Marinade with Onions and Sage
Ingredients
1 (12-ounce) can beer
1 large onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon dried sage leaves
or 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 /4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Directions
Place the beer in a medium mixing bowl
Add the sliced onion, garlic, sugar, sage, salt and pepper
Stir to combine well. Yield: 2 cups SUGGESTED USE: The beer in this marinade imparts a special taste to a variety of meats
Try marinating a whole chicken (8 hours) or any type of beef steak (4 hours) or even a pork loin (6 to 8 hours)
Be sure to turn the meat or poultry several times during the marinating.
