Savory Dried Herb Rub
  • Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons dried crumbled basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried rubbed sage
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried crumbled rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Directions
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a mortar and pestle or a spice grinder and blend together
  2. Store in a jar for up to 6 months. Yield: 1/3 cup SUGGESTED USE: The herbs in this rub work especially well with pork chops, pork loin or tenderloin (1 hour) or try the rub on a turkey or just the breast (1 hour).
