Thai Curry Paste
  • Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Thai red curry paste
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Directions
  1. Place the fish sauce, ketchup, curry paste in a small bowl
  2. Whisk to combine
  3. Whisk in the sugar, garlic, lime juice and oil. Yield: 1/2 cup SUGGESTED USE: Thai curry paste is available at Asian markets and in some supermarkets in the Oriental section
  4. It is a very spicy blend of chilies and spices
  5. Use this pungent paste to rub on shrimp (20 to 30 minutes), boneless chicken breasts (20 to 30 minutes) or even rub it under and over the skin of a whole chicken (1 to 2 hours)
  6. Also try this fiery mixture on a steak (20 minutes).
