TOMATO BBQ SAUCE
  • Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Directions
  1. Heat oil in medium saucepan and saute onion until softened
  2. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer, uncovered, until thickened, about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally
  3. Let cool, then cover and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
