Tomato-Dill Cream Sauce
  • Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup (1/2 pint) half-and-half
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
  • 2 medium-sized tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 3 scallions, finely chopped
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Directions
  1. In a saucepan, mix together the mayonnaise, half- and-half, and chopped dill; cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is heated through
  2. Remove from the stove; stir in the tomatoes, scallion, salt, and pepper
  3. Serve imme- diately over hot pasta and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired
  4. Serves 4.
