Ingredients
Selection: Firm, crisp, ripe melon that breaks
crisply.
Preparation: Remove rind, and cut into 1/4 to 1/2
inch thick slices if using one or two trays. Cut 1/8
to 1/4 if using more than two trays.
Pretreatment: None is needed. May be dipped in
dry Jello mix or similar preparation.
Drying time: Dehydrator: 24 to 36 hours.
Dryness test: Pliable-no sign of moisture.
How to use: Eat dry, alone. Do not refresh.
Storage time: 2-4 months at 70 degrees F.
