FRUIT AND SEED BARS
Ingredients
1 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup chopped nuts (unsalted peanuts, cashews, or
almonds)
1/2 cup sunflower or pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup each packed brown sugar and honey
1/3 tsp. salt
1/2 cup each of 4 different dried fruits
1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut butter
Directions
Combine sesame seeds ,nuts, and sunflower or pumpkin seeds
Spread in a thin layer on rimmed baking sheets
Roast at 350 degrees F
for 15 min- utes or until golden brown
Shake baking sheet occasionally
Set Aside Commbine sugar,honey, salt and dried fruits in a frying pan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly
Remove from heat
Add seeds, nuts, coconut, and mix well
Fold into buttered pie dish and fill bottom evenly
Use a buttered spoon to press mixture firmly down. Let cool at room temperature for 30 minutes
remove from dish
Cut into bars 1 1/4 by 4 inches
Let stand until not sticky (approximately 2 to 3 hours)
Wrap bars individually or together in plas- tic
Bras can be stored at room temperature.
