FRUIT AND SEED BARS
  • Ingredients
  • 1 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (unsalted peanuts, cashews, or
  • almonds)
  • 1/2 cup sunflower or pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cup each packed brown sugar and honey
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup each of 4 different dried fruits
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut butter
Directions
  1. Combine sesame seeds ,nuts, and sunflower or pumpkin seeds
  2. Spread in a thin layer on rimmed baking sheets
  3. Roast at 350 degrees F
  4. for 15 min- utes or until golden brown
  5. Shake baking sheet occasionally
  6. Set Aside Commbine sugar,honey, salt and dried fruits in a frying pan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly
  7. Remove from heat
  8. Add seeds, nuts, coconut, and mix well
  9. Fold into buttered pie dish and fill bottom evenly
  10. Use a buttered spoon to press mixture firmly down. Let cool at room temperature for 30 minutes
  11. remove from dish
  12. Cut into bars 1 1/4 by 4 inches
  13. Let stand until not sticky (approximately 2 to 3 hours)
  14. Wrap bars individually or together in plas- tic
  15. Bras can be stored at room temperature.
