OLD TIME GRANOLA
  • Ingredients
  • 6 cups quick oatmeal
  • 3/4 cup wheat germ
  • 1/2 cup coconut (flaked or shredded)
  • 1/3 cup sesame or sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup nuts (chopped walnuts or pecans, or peanuts)
  • 1/2 cup salad oil
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup of your favorite chopped, dried fruit
Directions
  1. Heat oatmeal in a shallow pan at 350 degrees F
  2. for about 10 minutes
  3. Combine oatmeal, wheat germ, coconut, sugar, seeds, and nuts
  4. Add oil, honey, and vanilla
  5. Spread on shallow pan
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F
  7. for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasional- ly until evenly brown
  8. After cooling, stir until crumbles apart
  9. Add dried fruit to cooled mixture.
