OLD TIME GRANOLA
OLD TIME GRANOLA
Ingredients
6 cups quick oatmeal
3/4 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup coconut (flaked or shredded)
1/3 cup sesame or sunflower seeds
1 cup nuts (chopped walnuts or pecans, or peanuts)
1/2 cup salad oil
1/3 cup honey
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup of your favorite chopped, dried fruit
Directions
Heat oatmeal in a shallow pan at 350 degrees F
for about 10 minutes
Combine oatmeal, wheat germ, coconut, sugar, seeds, and nuts
Add oil, honey, and vanilla
Spread on shallow pan
Bake at 350 degrees F
for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasional- ly until evenly brown
After cooling, stir until crumbles apart
Add dried fruit to cooled mixture.
