BACKPACKER'S BREAKFAST FOOD
  • Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup natural wheat-barley prepared cereal
  • 1/4 cup each rice cereal and oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup high-protein prepared breakfast cereal
  • 1/4 cup dry milk
  • 2 tablespoons wheat germ
  • 3 tablespoons nondairy creamer
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped dry fruit( dates, raisins, prunes),
  • or nuts(preferably cashews)
Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients together
  2. For cereal when camp- ing or hiking add water to reconstitute dry milk and cream
  3. For at home use, omit dry milk and nondairy creamer and use real milk for cereal.
