Sugar Spice Paste
  • Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons freshly ground pepper
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions
  1. Place minced garlic, salt, pepper, brown sugar, cinnamon, dry mustard, thyme and cayenne in a small bowl
  2. Mix together
  3. Add 1 tablespoon oil and mash together
  4. Add more oil to make a thick paste consistency. Yield: 2/3 cup SUGGESTED USE: Rub this paste all over the outside of a pork loin or pork tenderloin (30 minutes) before cooking
  5. The paste forms a crust that can't be beat.
