Hoisin Orange Paste
  • Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Asian sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons grated orange rind (zest)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds
Directions
  1. Place hoisin, soy, sesame oil, garlic and orange zest in a medium bowl
  2. Stir well to combine
  3. Stir in the red pepper flakes, coriander, cumin and sesame seeds
  4. Keep covered in refrigerator up to 1 week. Yield: 3/4 cup SUGGESTED USE: This thick paste is delicious smeared over boneless chicken breasts (3 hours), pork tenderloin (3 to 24 hours), or even tossed with shrimp (2 hours).
