VANILLA YOGURT
  • Ingredients
  • 4 1/4 cups milk
  • 4 inch piece vanilla bean
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. unflavored yogurt
Directions
  1. Split the vanilla bean lengthwise in half and heat with the milk
  2. Remove from heat just before boil- ing and let cool to 105 to 110 degrees F
  3. Use a ther- mometer for accurate temperature
  4. Take the vanil- la bean halves out
  5. Add yogurt and sugar and stir lightly
  6. Pour yogurt mix into containers with lids
  7. Incubate in Food Dehydrator until firm, approxi- mately 6 to 10 hours
  8. Refrigerate before serving
  9. Makes 4 1/4 cups.
