Jalapeno Crema
Ingredients
2 jalapeno chilies, seeded and finely minced
1 clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 cup sour cream
1 /2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
Directions
Cook chilies and garlic in vegetable oil over low heat, stirring frequently, until tender, about 4 minutes
Remove from heat and cool
Whisk into sour cream and season with salt and pepper
Chill until serving time. Yield: 1 cup SUGGESTED USE: Try this sauce in place of plain sour cream when garnishing any Mexican main dish
It tastes great with Polio Asado or Carne Asada or just about anything when you want a tangy finish.
