SESAME SHRIMP WITH GINGER CHILI DIP
  • Ingredients
  • 4 sprigs cilantro
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Asian sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1-1/2 pounds extra-large raw shrimp
  • Chili Dipping Sauce:
  • 1-inch piece ginger root
  • 2 tablespoons chili paste with garlic
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Asian sesame oil
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
Directions
  1. Mince cilantro and set aside
  2. Peel and mince garlic and combine with rice vinegar, sesame oil and soy sauce.Add shrimp and toss to coat
  3. Refrigerate covered for 2 hours
  4. Grill shrimp 3 to 4 minutes per side
  5. Peel and slice and then mince ginger
  6. Stir into chili paste, rice vinegar, sugar and sesame oil
  7. Whisk in mayonnaise
  8. Cover and refrigerate until serving time and up to 24 hours. Pile grilled shrimp on a platter around a bowl of the Chili Dipping Sauce
  9. Sprinkle with cilantro.
