THAI STYLE TURKEY BURGERS
THAI STYLE TURKEY BURGERS
Ingredients
1 large clove garlic
1 slice peeled fresh ginger root
1/2 bunch fresh cilantro
6 sprigs fresh mint leaves
12 fresh basil leaves
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
2 teaspoons sugar
1 pound ground turkey
3 tablespoons fresh breadcrumbs
1/2 teaspoon cayenne, or to taste
1 teaspoon paprika
Directions
Peel garlic
Remove leaves from cilantro and mint stems
Into a food processor with the motor on, drop the garlic and the ginger slice
Stop and add the cilantro, mint, basil, lime juice, sugar and blend the mixture well
In a bowl combine the turkey, the herb mixture, the breadcrumbs, and the cayenne and form the mixture into four 1-inch thick patties
Preheat grill
Sprinkle patties with paprika and grill for 7 to 8 minutes per side or until cooked through.
