Mild Chili Salsa
  • Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup chopped white onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 (4-ounce) can diced green chilies
  • 2 large tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro leaves
Directions
  1. Cook the onion and garlic in the oil in a medium skillet over medium heat
  2. Add the chilies and tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes
  3. Add salt and stir in cilantro
  4. Let cool. Yield: 2 cups SUGGESTED USE: When you want something mild yet flavorful try this cooked salsa
  5. It's tasty with beef, chicken or just chips for dipping.
