Mild Chili Salsa
Mild Chili Salsa
Ingredients
1/2 cup chopped white onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 (4-ounce) can diced green chilies
2 large tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro leaves
Directions
Cook the onion and garlic in the oil in a medium skillet over medium heat
Add the chilies and tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes
Add salt and stir in cilantro
Let cool. Yield: 2 cups SUGGESTED USE: When you want something mild yet flavorful try this cooked salsa
It's tasty with beef, chicken or just chips for dipping.
