PASTA MEATBALLS
  • Ingredients
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup tiny pasta shape, like pastina or acine dipepe
  • 1 pound ground turkey or veal
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 medium-sized onion,finely chopped
  • 1 (28 to 29 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 325?F
  2. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except the spaghetti sauce and water
  3. Mix together, then form into 24 golf ball-sized meatballs and place on a foil-lined cookie sheet that has been coated with non-stick vegetable spray
  4. Bake the meatballs for 8 to 10 minutes, or until brown, then immediately spoon them into a 2-quart casserole
  5. In another large bowl, combine the spaghetti sauce and water; pour over the meatballs
  6. Cover the casserole and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, turning the meatballs occasionally
  7. Serve as an hors d'oeuvre, or over pasta as a main dish.
