Roasted Garlic
  • Ingredients
  • 3 large, firm heads of garlic
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme (optional)
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Directions
  1. Remove loose outer skin and place garlic heads in a small baking dish
  2. Pour olive oil over garlic
  3. Add the thyme, salt and pepper
  4. Cover and bake at 325?F
  5. for 1 hour
  6. Remove from dish and let cool
  7. Squeeze each clove to soften
  8. This is a delicious informal appetizer served with French bread and a mild, creamy cheese
  9. Or serve atop a half load of your favorite fresh pasta
