SHRIMP WON TON
  • Ingredients
  • 1 full load of Chinese egg noodle pastamade into won tons
  • 1 pound shelled, de-veined shrimps
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, chopped
  • 6 water chestnuts, chopped
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons corn flour
  • salt and pepper to taste
Directions
  1. Cook the shrimps in oil for about 5 minutes
  2. Let cool, then chop finely
  3. Combine the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and mix well
  4. Make won tons according to instructions for making filled pasta in the Making Pasta chapter
  5. Place a single layer of dumplings in a steamer and cook for about 10 minutes
  6. Oil the steamer rack if it is made of metal
  7. Repeat until all of the dumplings are ready
  8. Serve with hot Chinese mustard.
