5-Spice Marinade
  • Ingredients
  • 1 /4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup dry Sherry
  • 2 tablespoons chili oil
  • 2 teaspoons Asian sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons 5-spice powder
  • 2/3 cup minced green onions
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
Directions
  1. Place soy sauce, sherry, chili oil, sesame oil and 5-spice powder in a small bowl
  2. Whisk to combine
  3. Stir in green onions and ginger. Yield: 3/4 cup SUGGESTED USE: Sesame oil and 5-Spice powder are available in Asian grocery stores and some supermarkets
  4. This intensely flavored marinade is great on kabobs of beef, pork or chicken (1 to 3 hours) or satay, those thin strips of meat woven on skewers (1 to 3 hours).
