PASTINA WITH MAPLE SYRUP AND DATES
  • Ingredients
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup pastina
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup chopped pitted dates
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
  1. Scald milk in a medium saucepan
  2. Stir in the pastina and cook, stirring frequently, adjusting heat to prevent scorching, until pastina is tender and the mixture is thickened, about 20 minutes
  3. Add the maple syrup, butter, dates, and vanilla
  4. Spoon into small custard cups and cool slightly before serving.
