Heat oil in a 4-quart saucepan and cook onions until
tender, about 6 minutes
Add the Bourbon, ketchup,
vinegar, orange juice, maple syrup, molasses,
Worcestershire, salt and pepper
Bring to a boil, stirring
frequently
Reduce heat to low and simmer until mixture
thickens, about 30 minutes.
Yield: 1-1/2 cups
SUGGESTED USE: This is a delicious sauce for pork spareribs
(12 hours), pork tenderloin (4 hours), chicken pieces (4
hours) or boneless breasts (2 hours)
Use some of the sauce
as a basting sauce during the cooking and more to serve
with the meat.
