Sausage Quiche
  • Ingredients
  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup vegetable shortening
  • 4 tablespoons (approximately) cold water
Directions
  1. Sift the flour together with the salt
  2. Cut the shortening into marble-sized pieces and mix it into the flour with a pastry blender
  3. Sprinkle the water on a little at a time while mixing continuously with the pastry blender
  4. Make the dough into a ball
  5. Roll the pastry out into a circle large enough to cover a nine-inch pie plate with the edges overlapping
  6. Line the pie plate with the pastry and trim the edges.
