Barbecued Sausage Balls
Ingredients
Balls:
1 pound cheesy chuck sausage
removed from casings (page 61)
1 egg, beaten
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1/3 cup bread crumbs
Sauce:
1/2 cup ketchup
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
Directions
Mix all meatball ingredients thoroughly
The mixture should be shaped into balls about one- and-one-half inches in diameter, and these small balls then should be browned slowly in an ungreased skillet for about fifteen minutes
While they are cooking, make the sauce
Serve warm.
