Barbecued Sausage Balls
  • Ingredients
  • Balls:
  • 1 pound cheesy chuck sausage
  • removed from casings (page 61)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs
  • Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Directions
  1. Mix all meatball ingredients thoroughly
  2. The mixture should be shaped into balls about one- and-one-half inches in diameter, and these small balls then should be browned slowly in an ungreased skillet for about fifteen minutes
  3. While they are cooking, make the sauce
  4. Serve warm.
