Pumpernickel Sausage and Cheese Squares
Ingredients
1/2 pound sliced spicy Louisiana sausage,
browned then cut into
one-inch squares (page 93)
1/2 pound sliced Swiss, provolone,
Muenster, or mozzarella cheese,
cut into one-inch squares
7 large pitted black or green
stuffed olives, sliced
5 slices pumpernickel bread, cut
into two-inch squares
toothpicks
Directions
Arrange one slice of sausage, one slice of cheese and one slice of olive on each bread square. Secure with a toothpick
Makes about twenty servings.
