Tex-Mex Marinade
Tex-Mex Marinade
Ingredients
1 cup fresh lime juice
1 cup fresh orange juice
3/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
6 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
1/4 cup chili powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin
2 teaspoons salt
Directions
Place the lime juice, orange juice, cilantro, garlic, oil, hot pepper sauce, chili powder, cumin and salt in a medium bowl
Whisk to combine well. Yield: 3-1/2 cups SUGGESTED USE: This spicy citrus sauce really penetrates down into chicken pieces (4 hours) while marinating
It is also great to submerge a whole chicken (4 to 6 hours) into this marinade before roasting.
