Smoky Salsa Marinade
  • Ingredients
  • 1 cup smoky salsa with chipotles
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Directions
  1. Place salsa, brown sugar and mustard in a medium bowl
  2. Stir to combine well. Yield: 1-1/4 cups SUGGESTED USE: Chipotle chilies are smoked jalapenos
  3. There are several varieties of commercial salsa making use of these chilies
  4. You can usually find one variety in the supermarket
  5. If not, use a salsa of your choice and add a drop or two of liquid smoke
  6. Use this mixture to marinade boneless chicken breasts (2 hours)
  7. As the chicken cooks, use the remaining sauce for basting.
