HANGTOWN FRY
Ingredients
1 dozen small, Pacific coast oysters
1 /2 cup flour, seasoned with salt and black pepper
1 cup of cracker crumbs
1/2 cup butter or margarine
9 eggs
red and green pepper pieces for garnish
Directions
Dry oysters on a paper towel
Dip in flour, then into one beaten egg
Then dip into cracker crumbs
Fry in butter until browned
Beat 8 eggs and add to oysters. Cook slowly until firm
Garnish with pepper pieces.
