HANGTOWN FRY
  • Ingredients
  • 1 dozen small, Pacific coast oysters
  • 1 /2 cup flour, seasoned with salt and black pepper
  • 1 cup of cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 9 eggs
  • red and green pepper pieces for garnish
Directions
  1. Dry oysters on a paper towel
  2. Dip in flour, then into one beaten egg
  3. Then dip into cracker crumbs
  4. Fry in butter until browned
  5. Beat 8 eggs and add to oysters. Cook slowly until firm
  6. Garnish with pepper pieces.
