COLD SALSA VERDE
COLD SALSA VERDE
Ingredients
1 /2 cup coarsely chopped Spanish onions
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro
1 fresh or pickled jalapeno pepper, or to taste
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 can (10 ounces ) undrained tomatillos
Directions
Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor
Puree them, then adjust seasonings for desired hotness
This traditional green sauce is excellent over chicken, seafood, or pork dishes and is also used a a table relish
Makes 1 pint.
