SHOESTRING STEAK BARBECUE
  • Ingredients
  • 4 pounds round steak
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 / 2 cup flour
  • pepper and salt
Directions
  1. Slice round steak very thin, then cut into shoestrings
  2. With a very sharp knife and a good cutting board you will be able to slice strips 1/8 inch in cross section
  3. Form into patties
  4. Dip in olive oil and then in flour
  5. Sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce and pepper
  6. Broil over hardwood coals
  7. The lean meat will drip far less than hamburger, while the olive oil will impart a subtly delicious flavor
  8. Salt when finished
  9. Shoestring Steaks are best served a little rare.
