BARBEQUE SAUCE
  • Ingredients
  • 1 cup blackstrap molasses
  • 1/2 cup black pepper
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 pound salt stale beer as needed
  • 1 quart olive oil
Directions
  1. Mix all the ingredients except the stale beer, then add the beer until a mixture is obtained which is thin enough to drip from a brush, but not so thin as to repel the olive oil when it is stirred
  2. Apply this sauce alternately with the meat drippings as described in the whole steer bar- beque recipe above.
