QUICK SMOKED BEANS
  • Ingredients
  • 4 ounces salt pork, cut in 1-inch cubes
  • 2 1 -pound cans (4 cups) pork and beans
  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
Directions
  1. Brown salt pork in skillet and drain
  2. In 2-quart bean pot, combine remaining ingredients
  3. Top with salt pork
  4. Bake uncovered on grill of hickory-smoker with hood down, 1 hour or longer
  5. You can also cook in a bar- beque grill with moistened mesquite chips
  6. Serves 8.
