FRUIT SOUP
  • Ingredients
  • 1 pound of raisins
  • 1 pound of prunes
  • 1/2 pound currants
  • 1/2 pound red raspberries
  • 6 apples
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • sugar
  • cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Directions
  1. Simmer the raisins, prunes, currants, raspberries, apples and lemon juice together with water for three hours
  2. Add sugar to taste and cinnamon sticks
  3. Then add cornstarch to thicken and cook a few minutes more
  4. Serve either hot or cold
  5. It will keep a long time in the refrigerator
  6. This may be served at the beginning of a meal or as a dessert.
